Error on mod tab

Hi, I managed to run the installer after lots of trial and error, and the mod tab is finally showing up in the ACP but when I click on it I get this :

You haven't uploaded the files, have you uploaded all the files from the /root/ folder in the zip file?

Hi yes I have uploaded the files , actually just done it again to make sure, but pretty sure I have done it correctly !

There are only to mistakes possible:

1.) you have not uploaded all files

2.) you have not uploaded all files to their appropriate folder

What is - exactly - the path to your portal.php file (starting with http://)?

What is - exactly - the path to your /portal/includes/functions.php file (starting with http://)?

Ice mentions that the functions file is missing, which I have just checked and it does seem to be empty, I have just tried downloading it again and it wont open.

Hi just an update to my last post, this is the error coming up when i click on mods tab now,

You've misunderstood the install instructions, you don't upload the /root/ folder, you upload what is INSIDE the /root/ folder so you get http://www.schooltalkuk.com/phpBB3/portal.php and http://schooltalkuk.com/phpBB3/portal/i ... ctions.php

I'm having the same issue....i've uploaded all the files in root to their respective folder on my phpbb3 folder on the site. I'm really not sure what to do with the other files outside of root though... do these go up on the site as well?

UPDATE: Nevermind people....I've figured it out. I read something called "instructions"...lol. Followed the guide in the Install.xml file and all is now cool. Thanks

Thanks everyone, I have managed to do it I am quite embarrased to admit that I was only making the subsilver2 file edits, I didnt realise that you had to do the ones in the prosilver instructions too. We live and learn dont we, just took me 4 days
