Re: Custom Block ( No BB Code ) - Middle Column
This problem has now been solved. It was indeed a server side security setting ( mod_security ) was enabled. My hosting sorted it for me so I now do not get the error. Thanks for your help in suggesting it Archivar. Its very difficult to work out problems when there are no real errorrs. Many thanks ...

Custom Block - Add Image Question
Hi. I am using : phpBB3 3.10 Portal 2.0.0 Acidtech Theme as default. ( Force ) I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen, but if we enter our own image for the custom block the example states : Module image: Enter the filename of the module image. Images need to be in all styles/{yourstyle}/theme/i...

Re: Custom Block ( No BB Code ) - Middle Column
I have a "work around" to cheat the problem. I have added the twitter code into a blank php file, then just added an iframe, with the file's address in. This works, but I shouldnt have to do this, as it wasnt necessary to do it this way in the previous versions. I used to be able to add th...

Re: auto install not possible
I think your going too far with the folders... it should be ( if Im right ) /domain.com/phpBB3/install/install.php not /domain.com/phpBB3/install/install/install.php or in your case... /phpbb1/install/index.php not /phpbb1/install/install/index.php Im wondering if you have added the install folder t...

Re: Custom Block ( No BB Code ) - Middle Column
Thanks archivar. I have sent them a support ticket, but to be completely fair to them, there a strong web hosting provider, so cannot see this really being related to them, but have asked just incase. Ive been with them for over 10 years... I assume your test was done from a new install? Is your web...

Re: Custom Block ( No BB Code ) - Middle Column
Hi. I thought about it a lot and decided to do a whole new install of phpbb3 3.10 and portal 2.0.0 on a spare domain with a new database. I did this and still got the EXACT same problem. This was without custom themes. Just using the default prosilver. I got NO errors during both the installs for 3....

Re: Custom Block ( No BB Code ) - Middle Column
Thank you so much
However, I am not sure what is the cause of the problem. Hmmm.
If I re-run the install php for the portal, will that do any harm ( to see if there are any errors ) There were no erros when I ran it first time.
Not sure what to do.

Re: no portal after install
It doesnt redirect the url. Not unless you change the hosting permissions so it becomes the default.
There is also a "portal" permission you need to enable into your forum groups.... check that as well.

Re: Custom Block php code?
Could you not add the code into a php file, then create an iframe set of code with a link to that php file into a custom block.
Its what I use for 2 blocks on ours.

Re: Custom Block ( No BB Code ) - Middle Column
Hmm. This really is odd. I can add custom blocks with the BB Code turned off, only if the code I enter has a frame with link of some sort. For example, an iframe is fine, but raw bbcode doesnt allow the block to work in any column, left right or middle. I just get the Internal Server Error every tim...

Re: Good install but get an internal server error
Hi.
Just wondered if you resolved this, as I have the same problem but only on custom blocks that need to disable bbcode, which are not iframes.
It might not be related, but as its the same error, I just am wondering...
Cheers

Custom Block ( No BB Code ) - Middle Column
Hi. I would be grateful if anyone can help. Im running PHPBB3 Portal 2.0.0 I tried the update from 1.0.6 to 2.0.0b and had no problems at all on a test forum.
