What have you done before the problem was there?
I updated from PHPBB3PORTAL 1.2.2 to Board3 Portal 1.0.2

What have you already tryed to solve the problem?
Went through the upgrade steps several times, trying to figure out why it's not working.

Description and Message
The portal front page is displaying incorrectly, not showing the news, and the left column is huge. Changing things in the ACP works, except I cannot disable the search block. maybe something went wrong during the upgrade? I don't know why my News isn't displaying and why the other blocks are so wide- it's set at 180 pixels. Any ideas?

Wow.. I feel really stupid, I followed the link to phpbb which gave me version 1.0.2, I should have went to 1.0.5

What is the best way to completely uninstall the portal, and reinstall 1.0.5, I don't care about losing the blocks I have now, I just want to start from scratch with the portal. Do you think that's the best plan of attack here?

Well I uninstalled, and did a fresh install of 1.0.5 and it works fine, minus a few things

-If I disable the right column in ACP it doesn't actually disable it, same thing with the main menu/whois/search on the right, I can't disable them, it seems like the ACP can't control them.. any thoughts?

Also - the whois/usermenu is having issued pulling data it looks like

I can't see the right column. Also I don't really understand what you mean with the whois/usermenu not being able to pull data. Did you move the blocks from a column to another?

I had to manually take them out of portal_body.html

None of the blocks are in portal_body.html anymore. They were moved to portal_left.html, portal_center.html or portal_right.html, depending on where the blocks are.

You have to update your Style too. Not just prosilver and subsilver2
