Right Side Blocks in Google Chrome

Post by victory1 »

Your Portal Version: 1.0.6
Your phpBB Type: Standard phpBB3
MODs installed: Yes
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

What have you done before the problem was there?
I have disabled each of the right block to see if one of them were affecting the display.

What have you already tryed to solve the problem?

Description and Message
I have a new laptop with Windows 7 Professional install on it. The right blocks in Google Chrome are overlapping. It display correctly initially but immediately expand on the right after loading. I have tried to disabled a few of the blocks on the right to see if one of them was affecting the display. I guess I have the latest Chrome since I'm the one that download it to my laptop last night since it came with IE browser only installed on it. I use to have a vista computer before and I don't know what version of Chrome and the portal used to display correctly. So I don't know if it's the Windows 7 or the latest Chrome causing the display issue. It display correctly on both IE 9 and Firefox 9.1 which is the latest for both browsers.

It's like that in Chrome for both of my active styles (RedSteel & ExtremeDark Red)
Here is a screenshot of how it look:

I fixed it. I asked on the Chrome Help Site and I was told if it display OK on other browsers then that means there is a code that is specifically made for IE and not compatible for Chrome. So I only had 2 custom blocks on the right so I removed them and it turn out it was the Social Network Block with the Facebook Like Button causing the issue! I removed it and all is well.

Hope this helps anyone else having Chrome Browser Display issues. The Chrome team knew exactly what was wrong as soon as I explained the problem.
