What have you done before the problem was there?
I installed phpbb 3.1.6 and is working fine.

I had to reinstalled from a prior version due hacking to the forum.

This is a clean installation.

What have you already tryed to solve the problem?
I read the forums for Install and find instructions regarding some -xml files I don't have in my download.

I purged the cache as well.

Hi. Thanks for your time.

I installed phpbb from scratch (3.1.6) and is working fine.
I downloaded Board3 from here and after reading the installation instructions here in the forum I didn't find any xml file.

I upload as per the phpbb instructions the board to the ext directory, enable it and did some configs in the acp.

The issue is I cannot get the portal page in order to continue.

I am sure I am doing something wrong, that's why I am asking for your help. Looks to me the instructions are for older versions, not 2.1.0. Am I right?

After I wrote this I found that the portal is now in app.php

I went there and everything looks fine.

Two questions if I may ask.

a) The last time I had portal with a different layout. Instead of the list of posts in a board, I had post themselves (with images and things), something like this:

Is this a special module?
Is it available?

b) To use the translation I guess only I have to change the files in lang from the translations from the package (Spanish in my case). I noticed the names are not exactly the same. So just re write the lang directory with the files in the distribution and change the names? or is this another procedure to do that?

You need to add the module Forum List in the settings for the portal in the ACP.

so i take it I drag all the folders from the portal folder onto my FTP? cause mine didn't come with this xml and i'm trying for the life of me trying to figure out how to install. I did this before with the autox mod but i don't think that progg works with the new version of phpbb
