Hello talonos,

I am asking because phpBB cannot recognize if there is any update for the mChat Borad3 extension available:

2.1.0 is the latest version, so you're good.

Hi talonos !
I don't understand why, when I activate this extension, every single page from my forum gives me a php error :

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Argument 2 passed to dmzx\mchat\core\functions::__construct() must be an instance of dmzx\mchat\core\notifications, instance of phpbb\user given in /var/www/website/ext/dmzx/mchat/core/functions.php:77 Stack trace: #0 [internal function]: dmzx\mchat\core\functions->__construct(Object(dmzx\mchat\core\settings), Object(phpbb\user), Object(phpbb\auth\auth), Object(phpbb\log\log), Object(phpbb\db\driver\factory), Object(phpbb\cache\driver\file), Object(phpbb\event\dispatcher), './../', 'php', 'phpbb3014_mchat', 'phpbb3014_mchat...', 'phpbb3014_mchat...') #1 /var/www/website/vendor/symfony/dependency-injection/ContainerBuilder.php(925): ReflectionClass->newInstanceArgs(Array) #2 /var/www/website/vendor/symfony/dependency-injection/ContainerBuilder.php(467): Symfony\Component\DependencyInjection\ContainerBuilder->createService(Object(Symfony\Component\DependencyInjection\Definition), Object(SplObjectStorage), 'dmzx.mchat.func...') #3 /var/www/website/vendor/symfony/dependency-injecti in /var/www/website/ext/dmzx/mchat/core/functions.php on line 77
with php7.3. php 5.6 gives me the same error.
The construct method needs notification instance as second argument, while it receives a user instance.
I guess the board extension overload the notif variable with a user instance ?

Don't use PHP 7.3, it's not supported by phpBB. Downgrade to 7.2
7.3 gives PHP errors and fills up your server logs.

It is activated and running. But the issue is i can't add it to portal. I checked the portal (root file) and found out that there is no file relate to the mchat inside the portal (ex. mchat.php). I did download another older version which would have those related file to the portal and upload into the root, however it still does not show up in the drop down menu on portal when adding the new block
