"Page cannot be displayed" :-(

Post by ttkk »

Your Portal Version: 1.02
Your phpBB Type: Standard phpBB3
MODs installed: Yes
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

What have you done before the problem was there?
Nothing special.

What have you already tryed to solve the problem?
Nothing, dont know what...

Description and Message
Most time I use Mozilla Firefox, and there is no problem, but today I tried IE7, and there is problem. Often it happens, that IE shows "Page cannot be displayed". Not everytime, but often... For example after login, after logout, in ACP, in the forum when I try to delete a post... Dont know where can be problem? I think, that there will be problem with cookies or with session, because this problem happens sometimes only if I can see in URL http://www.domain.com/portal.php?sid=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Instead of xxxxxxxxx there is some id like 45dfd7875645f6d89756f.

In Firefox there is no problem, but in IE7, it is hell

Moved to "General phpBB3 Support", this is no portal problem.

I think so too, check your (board) cookie settings.

But, in Firefox everything works perfect, I cant understand where is problem... When I was googling, I found, that Internet Explorer 7 has problems with sessions.

Still dont know how to solve this problem

Already deleted the cookies in IE7?

What is your forums domain/path? How are your cookie settings in the ACP? Without knowing that, nobody can help you.

Already read this topic? viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1535&p=9994

Hi ttkk,

as Kevin already stated, this is not a Portal-related problem.

Don't be angry with us, but we have a lot to do with Portal-related support.

Please post your problem / question at phpbb.com.

Thanks for your understanding.
Viele Grüße

Thomas
