First, your portal is either v. 1.0.4 or 1.0.5, the version 1.0.0.RC3 is portalview and MOD to the portal.
Secondly, plz tell what you mean with edit. Is it the block order you want to change ? see Knowledge Base: Moving blocks / change order or is it the contence of one or more blocks you want to edit? You can use the editor nodepad++ (google for it) or do you want help from the forum to edit a block so it match your need ?

I guess it the menu content you want to edit, the board have made a guide for it here Knowledge Base: How to ... add your own menu items Tjeck that out, if you still run into trouble feel free to post again
