Spanish characters in portal

What have you done before the problem was there?
Translated the portal to spanish
What have you already tryed to solve the problem?
I don't even know where to start
Description and Message
characters like 'á é í ó ú' are displayed like ???. How can i fix that?

Make sure your files are saves as UTF8 without BOM and not as ASCII.

Use an editor like notepad++ (not the windows notepad). Then just convert the encoding to utf8 without bom. Afterwards save the file and upload it to your server and it should work.

Hi marc, for some reason I am unable to convert to UTF-8 without bom. It won't let me, not with notepad ++, or UTFCast, or anything. if I put "convert to UTF-8 without BOM" it just does nothing after saving. Any ideas, or tips? Could you post the php files in that encoding? Thank you!

I had similar Problems with a German Dialekt that I try on localhost for a Touristboard, I tried konvert my Lang files with Notepad++ and it works fine
