I'm attempting to install the portal mod on my site, but cannot find some of the material requested in the tutorial I've found here: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=3875

The things I cannot find are bolded here:
copy: root/styles/prosilver/template/portal/*.*
to: styles/DirtyBoard2.0/template/portal/*.*
copy: root/styles/prosilver/theme/portal.css
to: styles/DirtyBoard2.0/theme/portal.css
copy: root/styles/prosilver/theme/images/portal/*.*
to: styles/DirtyBoard2.0/theme/images/portal/*.*

I don't have these directories. Am I supposed to create them as new, or should I already have them?

First you need to download and install this Style. If it works, you can install the Portal for this Style as per description:
From the B3P-download-package you must first perform the install.xml.
