When I click "Start" under install_gb/install.php nothing happens?

So I installed the block. When I go to the portal page I get this:

And when I unstall the Gallery Block MOD the Portal works perfectly again.

@jotne: For me it works without any problems, see here: http://www.phpbb-projekt.de/ or here: http://www.chantals-fanpage.de/ both with Gallery 0.4.1 and 1.2.2 Block Gallery.
On the testpage, it works with Gallery 0.4.2 and 1.2.3 Block Gallery, see: http://area51.phpbb-projekt.de/
So there can be no error in the moment reproduce.

@rudolfpietersma: Gallery Which version do you have installed?
If not the current, then upgrade to v0.4.1 then it should work without problems.

It did work for me to, but something broke and I did have to reinstall a backup of the files, and now I can not get it to work anymore.
So for me it seems that some stuff are still around after uninstall.

OK I upgraded to 0.4.1, install went succesfully.
But now my Gallery has all red crosses and no images.

Hallo zusammen,

Ich bin gerade dabei ein Portal für unseren Radclub zu erstellen. Ich hab die aktuelle phpbb3 Version und eine Galerie (die von nickvergessen) installiert. Im Forum wird diese auch angezeigt.

Jetzt hab ich den Gallery Block 1.2.2 installiert, das hat auch alles geklappt. Im ACP kann ich auch alle Einstellungen vornehmen. Aber es wird auf der Portalseite kein Block angezeigt. Ich hab zwar schon alles gecheckt, und es sollte auch funktionieren, aber wahrscheinlich ist es nur eine Kleinigkeit die ich übersehen habe.

Woran könnte das liegen? Bei welcher Datei soll ich nochmals genau schauen?

Just to inform you. When I upgraded I missed the part to copy the images over to the "new" folders. It's working now!!

@jotne: Sorry, I can not continue to help as a blank page it is difficult to find the mistake.

@traveller23: Du hast noch nicht mal das Portal richtig installiert, zu erkennen an die seitlichen Boxen, es sollte eigentlich so aussehen: portal.php?style=1
Bitte gehe vom Portal die Anleitung noch mal Schritt für Schritt durch und prüfe ob alle Änderungen gemacht hast und auch hochgeladen hast, danach nochmal die vom Gallery Block. Ganz zum schluß damit die Änderungen auch übernommen werden, nicht vergessen den Cache zu leeren im ACP, siehe KB: knowledge/kb_show.php?style=1&id=29

Habs grad gemerkt, war eh ein bisserl komisch, das es so "clean" aussah, sieht aber gar ned so schlecht aus. Danke!

Hab auch tatsächlich beim nochmaligen Überpürfen der Portaldateiänderungen was gefunden und grad hochgespielt. Allerdings hat sich in der Portalanzeige noch nichts geändert, cache etc. hab ich erneuert.
Muß ich nochmals installieren? Und wenn ja, muß ich dazu das "alte" Modul vorher löschen?

Edit: Das Portalproblem dürfte gelöst sein, die stylesheet.css wurde im theme komischerweise beim hochladen nicht übernommen. (sicher 20mal probiert) durch löschen und wiederraufladen hats dann geklappt. Ich vermutet das das mit dem Gallery_block auch so ist. Ich such mal.

Klappt jetzt wunderbar! Problem lag an meinem Webserver, der die einzelne Dateien beim hochladen nicht überschrieben hat.

Danke für eure Hilfen, es ist immerwieder unglaublich auf was man alles achten muß beim Website rumbastln.

It is this line that makes the trouble:

If I add only this in portal.php it goes blank.

Where do this file point and what does it do.
Is there a way to edit this and make it shorter to find whats wrong.
