Attachment block as a whole attachment page

as the topic says... the attachment block is great... but I want a full list of all my attachments put into a page so people can go to that page and see all available attachments. that can be sorted by date, downloads, etc by the user (but really, no sorting is fine by me) with the same permissions as the block (if private they can see but not download etc like it already is in the block)

I tried to play around with the code from the portal and failed... really because i dont know much about php programing and can only barely manipulate it (of course with instructions is fine) I tried taking the <!-- include blah blah and putting it into a new page, copying and changin names for files etc.. ya..i suck

i figure it would be simple since the code is there already. I just have no idea how to do it. it doesnt need much admin config really. only thing i can think of is an option of what forum to pull from.
